The real challenge is to find a vintage watch that look like brand new rather then to purposely aged the watch, dial or insert... Right?

The question of faded inserts, dials,
The world is crazy in my opinion when people are out there looking for faded inserts for the Rolex GMT or Submariners. In the past, our aim as collector is to find vintage watches in pristine conditions. However, the trend now is to find used, or damaged dials and inserts. Some collector has resorted to sandpaper or using of chemical to bleach their bezel insert in order to give it as used look, which to me is totally crazy.
