Chauny chronograph using Valjoux 7733 movement

Found this from the boxes. Chauny watch was founded founded by Alfred Grabler in 1927 La Chaux de Fonds (Switzerland) . Even though the brand is already extinct, the watch is using the much sought after vintage Valjoux 7733 movement. This Valjoux 7733 movement is a 17 jewels mechanical winding movement that has a power reserve of 45 hours and a beat rate of 18,000 per hour.

Rolex bubbleback

This is a special bubbleback with nice memories. It was a bubbleback that I have sold to a very special friend 25 years ago and I'm very glad to be able to see it again as she has kept it nicely for a quarter of a century. Will send it for service and a change of strap soon...Times flies..

Rolex bubbleback

I have not been active in the search for vintage watches for the past months. Over the weekend, I was lucky to be able to find and traded my Glycine and West End watches for this beauty, an early Rolex Bubbleback with the flat back case... I have been streamlining my vintage watches to make it more focused and manageable.

Vintage watches collection

Owing to my new hobby of Nohonto collection, I have not even much time for my watches. As a result, I have tried to streamline my collection by cutting out some of my rare watches to fellow collectors. However. Being in Bangkok has made it a challenge as there are some fellow collectors who are afriad to buy overseas and only one to to face. Well, a good deal will not happened so often who missed out...

Mido multifort

This is a simple vintage automatic watch with subsidiary seconds from the 1940s. Even though it's a relatively cheap vintage watch, the joy of finding it reminds me of my youthful day when I first started to collect vintage watches in the mid 1980s.

Found the NOs dial to upgrade the watch

Rolex 1601 pink gold bracelet

I have promised myself not to buy any item unless I sell one out. Yesterday, my bracelet for the pink gold 1601 came and I have traded my wall clock for this bracelet.

400 days clock

Bought this lovely 400 days clock from the border town in Mae sod. I really love the nice porcelain dial as well as the graceful movement of the rotating balls.

ཞơƖɛҳ 1601 & 6424

ཞơƖɛҳ 1601 & 6424

Vintage ཞơƖɛҳ has always been my core collection. Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to trade my CWC military chronograph for a Rolex 6424. The 6424 is a very uncommon reference dating to 1956 having a large 36mm. stainless steel case that fits a 20mm. band.

This is the largest of the modern manual winding ROLEX watches produced from the 50’s to 90’s. This watch sits slimly and broadly across the wrist with its shimmering stainless steel case. This white dial has aged nicely into a marble like dial. The manual winding ROLEX movement cal 1210 is very reliable and this watch can be worn daily for many decades..

Rolex 1601 Pink gold

After much efforts, I have finally managed to sell of my Omega constellation white gold top, Omega 120 Seamaster plus a hosts of other watches and table clock in order to finance this 1601 Pink gold watch from 1962. I am happy as I managed to keep my promise of selling some watches out first before getting in any new one.
