Grand Seiko is something of a cult brand. Lauded by some as a worthy alternative to the very finest of Swiss Made watches. My interest for the Grand Seiko continues with the THE 1st generation "GS" of "HI-BEAT AUTO with 36000 high beat GRAND SEIKO 6146-8000 from 1967. The main different between the 1st and 2nd generation is in the dial.
The 1st generation is without the "automatic" word and the "Hi-beat 36000". Both are 36000 hi beat movement.
